For another, the man was absolutely devoted to his daughters, and it was hard to imagine anyone could be hard as nails when they spent every other day or so cooing nonsense into the phone about whatever it is that little girls found important.

*melts* God, I adore this for so many reasons. Aside from the maybe more obvious ones for the fact that Orlando knows about this, that I can now picture Orlando sitting close by when Sean’s on the phone talking to his girls and that Sean is not, like, keeping it a secret how big of a softie he is for his daughters. Love this.

Love the entire paragraph following, lovely contrast to Orlando’s description of Sean=safe place for little girls ;) to this here, sharp and clear in how this movie is such a huge thing for Orlando and that it’s terrifying him.

"Uh, hullo." Orlando took one hand out of his back pocket, waved. He steadfastly ignored the fact that his hand was trembling. "I'm, uh..."

Love those little details there, the waving instead of handshaking, the ignoring(but not really ;)) of his own nervousness.

Orlando felt like a Thoroughbred at an auction. "Yer much better looking than your picture."

Hehe, love that bit. No wonder that Sean and Karl get on like a house on fire, since they’re both the kings of subtle.

He was getting ready to watch football with The Sean Bean (who thought he was a good-looking bloke, had said so himself, thank you very much, and Sean's lover – who'd played Cupid, Cupid – also thought he was good-looking, as well) and drink beer like proper mates.

Adore this back-and-forth of ‘oi, I’m such a bloke’ and the fangirling girliness :D.

For all that he and Sean were thick as the proverbial thieves, full-on acts of charity weren't exactly in Sean's nature.

Again, nice bit of spot on characterization there. Love the subtle differences in this chapter by the way, Sean being a good man throughout, but surely he’s more devoted to his girls than to grown up mates that should be able to take of themselves. If that makes sense.

"Speaking of your sexier half, where is Karl, anyway?"

:)

for whatever reason, Viggo had decided that Bernard was off-limits to pranks. Personally, Orlando thought it was because Bernard was the one person in the world who scared Viggo

*snorts* Good thinking, Viggo. Better keep your hands off of Bernard and his frilly hats *nods*

You do realize that you brighten each and every of my day with these, yes? The knowledge of being able to look forward for more than a MONTH of more of these updates (if I did my math right, which is not always the case) has me so happy, it’s embarrassing. I adore this story, and you, obviously.
