"Y'sure this is good?"

"What?" Orlando lifted his head from Harry's chest, eyes glowing from the fire crackling in front of them.

"This." Harry scooted down, settling Orlando more firmly on top of him. The sofa creaked under his weight. "It's Saturday night, love. Wouldn't you rather be out and about?"

"And miss all this?" Orlando smiled, brushing lips across Harry's jaw.

"So, you do want to go out?" Harry managed, head tilted back in invitation.

"Why would I want to do that?" Orlando slipped a hand under the worn cotton of Harry's shirt. "M'right where I want to be."

From the first drabble I was wondering if you're reading my mind or if they just are like that, because this is how I see them, too. This is the dynamic I see for them. I am absolutely flabbergasted. These are my Harry&Orlando.

Obviously, I love this.

Orlando's contentment and the still existing undercurrent of doubt in Harry. Orlando is right where he belongs, where he wants to be, but Harry still can't quite believe it, like there's this voice telling him that it's all not real. He asks Orlando while inviting/needing/wanting his touch, him. Harry's need for reasurrance is so frustrating endearing.

Excuse me while I go overboard with interpreting the subtext of this. Oh, and the bloody song you used for this series: I played it till my ears bleed. Thank you. Not.

*sighs* I love them so much it's unhealthy.

You gave the series a title. What does it mean?

It means 'dance' in Latin.

Of course this is how they are together. I mean, how else would they be? And yes, you're exactly right. Harry will be a bundle of nerves where Orli's concerned for awhile. It's normal. He'll get over it in time. Orli's not going anywhere.

I'm not so sure about tripudio. I looked it up and it means something like 'to celebrate in a religious ritual way'.
I was just wondering because I did Latin in school (shoot me now!) and couldn't remember the word.

tripudio - to celebrate.

tripudio - to leap, jump, dance (as in a religious procession).


I liked the idea of the religious connotations for the title. Simply because the two of them are so reverent around each other. It fit.
