A crossover I never would've thought of, but you wrote it so seamlessly that it makes me feel dumb for not seeing just how logical it actually is. You managed to intertwine their stories so naturally, make me are how much Eric & Sam AND Eric & Dean, which took a lot more digging, have in common.

Your Dean is so true to the Dean I know and got used to on the show. The guy who is so stubborn and can boil down a job to black & white to the point I want to shake him and open his eyes. And Sam. You really had some guy wenching moments where his vulnerability over the loss of Jess and his Dad comes through, even more so than on the show.

What really caught me off guard was the distance between the Winchesters. You made that a focal point and I know because I'm a sap, I don't think about how much they actually don't know about each other because it makes me sad (one of the reasons watching the Djin episode was so hard for me; hated how snobby Sam was to Dean but Dean still all about protecting and loving Sam in his way). But the way you weaved it into their relationship at the time that you did, it makes sense and helps intensify their grief and their fear.

The emotions in this story are just so potent. It's definitely a new favorite.
